love on the streets

"<3 I love you" is one of my favorite tags in SF, the other is "I like you". Every time I see this tag it warms my heart and more than half the time I take a picture. If you know the story behind this tag, please tell me. For now I'll continue to think of it as a love note to someone special or to all of us that come across it, we're all special.
