radishes
the fog lingered through the morning and farmers market where vibrant radishes seemed even more colorful on a gray day
foggy mornings
When the building tops disappear in the fog I think of a favorite German saying, "Luftschlösser bauen", building castles in the air.

flower delivery
Elizabeth, a lovely lady in Portland, started a flower shop called Espe Floral + Foliage with heaps of floral treasures and one of a kind creations. Well, this friend sent me a giant bouquet of flowers via local San Francisco Farmgirl Flowers which were delivered via bike messenger.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for.... lychee
Lychee fruit are in season so they're lining the sidewalks, piled up at the Chinese food markets. They look like dragon eggs or something from a sci-fi book. This summer treat is really floral and delicious.

Sunday drive and oysters at Point Reyes
A stop in San Rafael for a Cafe Rico (espresso and condensed milk) at Sol Food and then some thrift store shopping. Next stop was Point Reyes for a slower pace and a little shop lined street with the best bookstore and then a drive along the water before reaching the Marshall Store for oysters with a view. We chowed on raw, BBQ, and even a little bacon topped oyster thanks to our generous table neighbor.

calm
The weekend was full of sunsets, frozen yogurt and a lot of walking to outdoor events. This weekend the San Francisco Opera presented a live simulcast of La Traviata at the Giants ballpark.
B is for me
This apricot pie was made for me by friends that picked apricots up north and then made this little pie from scratch. Best surprise ever.
fog magic
the fog has been frequenting the city a little more now that "summer" has arrived. Conditions were perfect for this magical light show as the sunlight bounced off the building above and turned the fog into geometric shapes that slid into the sky. Below are my favorite city color schemes passed after enjoying a food cart picnic at the Presidio and then Fillmore Jazz Festival.

Possibilities
The Possible at the Berkeley Art Museum was an incredibly inspiring experience. Museum visitors were welcome to participate in the art process. I dyed fabric with indigo (blue) and loquat leaves (peachy pink), made a smock dress, and soaked up so much creative energy.
